I was so excited to see one of my girls made it on the cover of a local entertainment paper, the Valley Planet! She looks so great on a cover and I’m completely honored to have been chosen. This paper is so great about featuring local art!
I finally got back to some repousse’. I just hadn’t had the time to do much since I took the class last spring. But this weekend I jumped back in. Along the lines of my ‘African Series’, I made this copper cuff bracelet. It went fairly fast since I did not do any line chasing on the front. I still don’t have all the right tools I wish I had for this. But it was fun getting back into metal.
Not sure why I did polar opposite freaks this weekend. Maybe I was having a split personality moment. I did Flower Child freak first and both of them really aren’t bad freaks…just kindof opposite, though I guess you could find a flower child freak who loves black flowers.
Last week was a sad week. My oldest kitty, Colby, passed onto kitty heaven. She was just 2 weeks shy of her 20th birthday, so she had a long and good life. She was always on the independent side, even as a kitten. She always wanted to do things her way; and even when her little legs wouldn't let her jump or even walk good… she had the determination to keep going and going. She will be sorely missed, but her spirit will live forever in my heart.
